Balms/Salve

Boo Boo Balm

Many years ago, when we first got milk cows, we dealt with our first case of frostbite on udders - not unheard of when it hits -60F many times each winter. There was no all purpose salve (and to be honest, not much on the internet 23 years ago), so with the help of many good herbal books, we put together an infused herbal oil salve that worked incredibly well - frostbite healed in as little as 3 days. We shared it with many friends and over the years have had nothing but positive reviews on it for everything under the sun on humans and animals.
Because of all the wonderful herbs and honey it contains, this all-purpose salve works well for cuts, scrapes, burns, and just about anything else you want to use it on. We have used it for extra dry lips, badly skinned knees, diaper rash, burns and we keep a large tub of it in the milking area.
This balm makes an excellent addition to first aid kits, medicine cabinets, purses etc.  Purse size $1.75, $6.50/2oz jar or $11/4oz jar and contact us for 2 cup animal sized tubs.

White Warm-up Balm/Rub

Our White Warm-up Balm is similar to White Tiger  balm, which is famous for soothing aches and pains and arthritis. It has strong percentages of wonderful essential oils known for their cooling and painkilling properties. Because it is in a balm base it is a bit greasy, but will rub into your skin and last longer than the roller bottle.

The little roller has the benefit of being grease free when you need something quick, but you don't want to wait for the balm to absorb before you can put on clothes.  Easy to apply and dries quickly on the skin due to alcohol. It helps to sooth sore muscles, aches and pains. Roller ball is great for storing in a purse or glove compartment when you're on the go. Balm is $12/tin and the roller rub is $4.00

Red Warm-up Balm

Similar to  White Warm-up Balm, this Red balm  has the addition of St. John's Wort oil and cassia and chili seed oil. The St. John's Wort is phenomenal for nerve pain, and the cassia and Chili amp up circulation like you wouldn't believe.

**Note : this means APPLY SPARINGLY as you can always apply more. We suggest a tiny bit on your skin, rub it in and if it isn't effective enough, apply a bit more.

We have athletes who use this before they work out to get their circulation going, and also apply it to help with sore muscles afterwards. When applied, the balm makes your skin get all warm and tingly, thus the name "Warm-Up" balm.

Because of the chile and cinnamon oils, this balm is a bit more effective than the white balm for soreness and circulation, but this Red Balm WILL stain clothing if it gets on it.  Our recommendation is to apply it, rub it in for a minute, wash it off your hands, let it stay on your skin for 20-30 minutes and then wash it off your skin - it washes off your skin , just not clothes :). Or simply wear old clothes or have a dedicated t shirt when you apply it - it does have longer lasting benefits if left on. It is well worth the stain and effort, but if you don't want the worry of red staining anything, stick with the white balm.  $12/tin.
